The 2000 US Census revealed interesting statistics about why we move. Over half of us move for housing related reasons. We want to own rather than rent, or are looking to improve our living situation with a better home in a nicer neighborhood. About 1/4 of us move for family reasons, while 16% of us move for job related reasons.
